Hello Sisters!!
My name is Lauren Silsbee and I currently serve as the Communications Chairwoman, Historian, and Crescent Correspondent for EVAC. I transferred to CNU as a sophomore in 2003 and became a member of the Alpha Beta class of Gamma Phi Beta in Spring 2004. I graduated from CNU in 2006, and then decided to go back to school for the MAT program and graduated again in 2008. I currently teach third grade in Newport News and have the pleasure of teaching with another EVAC alumnae and fellow Alpha Beta, Meredith Holt.
I have been with my husband Rob for 11 years and we are coming up on our 5 year wedding anniversary this August. Rob is also a graduate of CNU and currently works there as the Sports Information Director. We have one puggle (a very BIG puggle) named Rudy, and we recently found out that we are expecting a baby in late October!! J
I have really enjoyed being a part of EVAC and reconnecting with so many sisters. I LOVED being in Gamma Phi Beta when I was in school and joining EVAC and working with the collegiate chapter has not only reminded me of how much I love Gamma Phi Beta, but only reinforces that joining G Phi was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made!
I look forward to seeing all of the new alumnae at Senior Celebration and can’t wait to welcome them to EVAC!!
In IIKE,
Lauren
